Welcome to Chatonnel light litter! You now belong to an avant-garde group of people who have chosen Chatonnel for the well-being of their favourite animals. We believe you will be delighted with the hygienic benefits it offers your pet, as well as with the cleanliness it brings to your home.
Because Chatonnel absorbs much more quickly than other types of litter, you do not have to use as much in the litter box. About two cups are enough for a small box. You can flush the soiled litter down the toilet easily or add it to your compost. In fact, Chatonnel light litter is made from entirely biodegradable cellulose fibres.
Your new Chatonnel litter lets you control the urinary health of your pet visually. The white colour highlights traces of blood in the urine, hopefully before any urinary problem becomes critical. The litter also contains a fine powder that will help prevent the development of crystals which cause urinary tract problems. This powder is an extract of specially chosen green plants, sodium chloride, and ethylen diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA). Your pet will ingest it when licking its paws after using the litter box.
With its special neutralizing agent, Chatonnel light litter also helps to control disagreeable odors.
As a Chatonnel user, you will not have to scrape off the compacted litter that often accumulates on the bottom of litter boxes using mineral based litters. Chatonnel absorbs urine, does away with this residue, and eliminates a frequent source of bacteria and odour.
Like all other changes to its environment, your pet will need time to adjust to its new litter. We recommend that you introduce Chatonnel gradually, mixing it with the previous litter, as indicated on the back of the bag.
